2022 was the Year of KUSHES for Freestone Genetics. Our objective was to take some timeless classics and cross them with other classics for vigor and some new kushy outdoor cultivars. The God Bud crosses are the first indoor strains we have created.

Taking advantage of some existing powerhouse Canadian genetics from British Columbia breeders, we are excited to have these new selections!

Every year we look for qualified individuals to grow or hunt our genetics!!

This organization is exactly what needs to be done to preserve these genetics. Cannabis has been the red headed step child of western medicine for too long now with the amount of breeding going on these landraces and certain cultivars vanish as we know and love them today. Just look at the northern lights, nl#5, good old Colombian and Acapulco gold. I haven’t tasted the same ones as 25 30 years ago. These genetics are timeless and more places like this needs to spring up despite these tough times and uncertain future. It’s too the future we look and we see that if these aren’t secured now, they will be melted into a soup pot of candy flavoured rainbow coloured desert bars. I appreciate the tastes that God has made and it’s there that we should be looking for those terpenes that will one day revolutionize medicine and catch up to the 4000 year head start that eastern medicine has enjoyed. Thank you guys for trying to preserve what desperately needs preserving.

Hello Denis,

You are right on target with all your comments and we wish that more individuals and organizations would see the Big Picture.

There is a conscious effort right now to resurrect the original Skunk amongst many old school breeders. It definitely can be done but not until these groups start working together, rather than trying to always lay individual claim to it.
